My experimenting with juice boxes continues. This giraffe requires 32 juice boxes connected with plenty of packing tape to make it extra sturdy. A couple of flat box panels at the base of the neck add contour, and I used small cups for the horns. More to come...

I think this would make a good base to make a power tex sculpture. We do one every year in our school. Never made any animal though. I think next year it will be a power-tex girafe :)

Actually, by saying "heavy" juice boxes I meant that they are very sturdy...and empty. If anyone wanted to try a different brand, say light weight cereal boxes, etc. they may run into trouble with shapes collapsing.

Are you gonna make it all straight lines like yur soldier? I think it would be cool if the contour is soft and round... Dunno, maybe using news paper balls all around... Do you think it would be too messy?

Thanks, I do think I will try to round it out a bit. The nose at least could be a wad of paper with a lot of packing tape smoothing it out. As soon as our crazy weather in CA settles down, I may get to finally finish this guy.
