Oh, how to pick a favorite? I'll say Van Gogh for now. :)
This looks like a fun book, and I'd love to win it!
Oh, this looks awesome! My favorite master is Paul Klee.
I have you on my blogroll under inspiration and you were listed in my monthly Friday Five earlier this month.

Thanks so much for the opportunity!
Maybe Matisse. I taught my students about Matisse and they loved your ode to Matisse mural!
What a great book!
Van Gogh and Chagall are my favorites.
I have you on my blog roll and linked you in this post:

My favorite artist is Rembrant.
Aah, I agree with the person above - my fave is, and has been forever, the fabulous and colorful Henri Matisse!
I've always loved Monet's work, but my favorite is still Van Gogh.
I love Van Gogh's work.
I'd love to win this book.
I've been the Art Docent for my son's K class and just used your lesson on Modigliani self portraits. Thank you so much.
You can find a link to the project here: http://www.charisecreates.blogspot.com/
You are on my Blog roll. Can't wait to try some more lessons this summer!!
I love the ballerinas, of course, Edgar Degas.
Monet has always been my favorite!
oh boy - how fun is this? I've had you on my blog roll for awhile.. I love your site. My favorite master artist changes all the time. But I do enjoy teaching the kiddos about all the different ways Picasso changed his artistry. He really was amazing.
Awesome book!
Monet for me!!
I would love a chance to win this book. I am not sure I have a favorite, but this last year I taught our two kids about Van Gogh and they really had fun with their own interpretations of his work.

I love reading your blog! My favorite master would be O'Keeffe!
Oooh, Kathy, that is a hard choice, but I think I would have to say Van Gogh, I love his impasto work - thick brushstrokes and the use of lots of purple, my favourite colour!
Rachael in NZ
Thank you for the offer! I love your art projects and your blog! My favorite artist is Matisse. Have a great week!
I have to say it, I LOVE the colorful Kandinsky.
I am a Volunteer art teacher, though Nurse by profession. Any good books to help me teach Art rather than just doing crafts would be a welcome addition.
Thank you so much for all of the inspiration your blog provides...
Lianne
I love Hundertwasser!
I have you on my blog list!

As a Spanish teacher, I'd have to say Kahlo......love her use of native dress in a modern setting.
O'Keefe gets my vote!
I like the ballerinas that Degas paints also.
favourite master, mmm that is a hard one, I think I will say Da Vinci today, or maybe Dali, or.....
I do know where my favourite kids art lessons come from, and that is right here.
xxLouise
Thanks for the giveaway, how fun! One of my favorite artists is Salvador Dali. His images are so epic and otherworldly. He was a true visionary. He also WAS his art, with his surreal mustache, and exaggerated speech.
Looks wonderful! :) I think my favorite artist is probably Monet...I just love those lilypads. :) Of course the Degas ballerinas are also another favorite!! You are in my google reader and we have done several of your projects as homeschoolers. My daughter would LOVE a new art resource!! :) I am going to take your button and put it on my blog now, too!
Van Gogh or Monet. Going to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is one of the highlights of my art life!
My children love to draw, paint, and do any kind of craft. We'd love to have this book. Thanks.
What a great Give Away!
Let's see... it's hard to pick a favorite artist, but I have always liked Renoir!
As a homeschooling mom, my son and I visit your blog for inspiration quite often, and I have your button in my blog's sidebar.
van gogh!
I also homeschool and use your blog for ideas all the time! Thank you!
I love van gogh and sam francis. I've had your link on my blog since its beginning. Thanks for all your amazing work!
Vermeer, no doubt. Thanks for the giveaway. I am a homeschool mom that follows your ideas--thanks!
ahh, there's so many, and varied...to pick one? No one can help but be inspired by Rembrandt...but Kandinsky is fun to 'replicate'. Love your site!
It's so tough to pick one. But I would say Matisse. Thanks for your great ideas.
I'd have to say Monet or Van Gogh. I'd love to learn more about them though and can't wait to study Medieval Times in History and incorporate art/music. I homeschool and this looks like a great book.
LOVE your site. I check it almost daily. Thanks for your hard work!
I am a elementary school art parent and use your site for inspiration often! Our most recent projects were inspired by Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock. My favorite artist is Toulouse Lautrec.
I'll have to go with Monet, but it's hard to decide
Rembrandt and Monet for me...great give away. I may have to buy this book if I don't win!!!
I really like Monet. I have 'Poppies in the field' Hanging up in my room. Here is my site where I linked to your site:
http://www.organicwords.blogspot.com
Its a writing blog, but writing and sketching are similar because of pencils, right? =D
I think my favorite would have to be Van Gogh or Monet or ... I can't choose just one!
Thanks for the opportunity. I don't have a blog (yet!) but have you on my google reader page and have been inspired by many of your projects both personally and for our homeschool. Thanks for the opportunity!
Love your site - Van Gogh!
Monet!
I think it must be Mary Cassatt who is my favorite. But there are others I love so much!!! :o)
It's so difficult to pick one, but two of my favorites are Klimt and Modigliani.
I'm quite into some post-modern artists, such as Rothko. Would that make the cut? As a children's librarian, I'm always looking for creative arts programs, and I think Rothko's art would translate well to pre-schoolers just learning about color and imitating his paintings would be an easy intro into this world!
I LOVE Van Gogh, but Kandinsky is my favorite to do with my students. Little ones love to mix colors and make concentric circles!
Rachel Varney
Fort Worth, Tx
Matisse and Manet. I fell in love with them during college...and still love them.
Oh my I'm excited! I'd have to say this year it was Grandma Moses! The kids had the most fun with her projects this year! I've added your button to my blog!
How exciting! I would love that for my students! My favorite would have to be Van Gough. Love Starry Night!!
bretinsley@hotmail.com
It's hard to pick just one, but I really like Marie Cassatt.
Whoops i didn't mean to leave an anonymous comment previously. Hopefully it works this time. I'm the Marie Cassatt fan.
Christine
We Canadians are not amused.....
I'm a fan of Van Gogh....still remember taking Art Appreciation in 5th grade and listening to Starry Starry Night song while learning about his work and life! That was over 20 years ago!
Well, I think that Louise Nevelsohn is highly underrated in art teaching circles BUT as far as classical artist go, I'd pick Rousseau.
Why? Because he was self taught, never saw many of the animals he painted live, was ridiculed by other artists but kept on painting. That is what we should be teaching our kids.
Thank you for this giveaway! I'd have to say Monet is my favorite.
My favorite artist at this time would have to be William Bouguereau... FABULOUS is not even a word worthy of him. His painting make my mouth water.
BUT...
Van Gogh would be the other artist that is a favorite. I love seeing his work in galleries. His unique style has never been duplicated. Tried, yes... but never duplicated.
Thanks for this opportunity. :)
Love your site, use it for lots of art ideas with my home schooled boys!
Favourite artist at the moment, inspired by project on Mexico, has been Frida Kahlo.
Viv x
O'Keeffe!
I love Monet's art but have come to a new appreciation of Van Gogh after reading his life's story. Thank-you for sharing your gift. I have used your ideas to inspire creativity in children from preschool thru middle school. We even held an Art Gallery night and raised lots of money for the art program next year. Thanks!!!
I became an art teacher because of my love of color - that being said, I often love to teach my students about my favorite artists - The Kings of Color - Henri Matisse and Vincent van Gogh. My students know I love them and really love when I include them in a lesson. Nothing makes me smile more than seeing an art work based of my favorite fellas!
I love so many of them, it's hard to pick just one! But I think my favorite would have to be Paul Cezanne. And I agree with you about the fun of finding a new art lesson book... so inspiring!! :)
Van Gogh is my favorite.
Rembrant! I love his lighting and in real life his paintings GLOW!
Kandinsky is my favourite.
Kathy, I already sent my choice(Matisse) but after seeing 60 comments(!!), and people so passionate about this book, I'm asking you to take my name out of the drawing. I don't need the book, but I love reading everyone's comments. I enjoy the blog idea exchange.
And yes, Erica is right. While I still love Matisse, Rembrandt's paintings, with their inner glow, cannot be matched.
Your blog is awesome. I teach an afterschool program and I'm always using your projects.
Hmm Van Gogh is definitely my favorite.
Too many favorites to narrow it down to 2, so I will pick a few: O'Keeffe, Haring, Warhol, and Seurat.
We love Monet and Van Gogh but are anxiously learning about more artists as we visit your site and trying to complete some of your suggested artwork. Thank you for the opportunity. Your button is on our blog and you are on my blog list. Thank you for the opportunity to enter in this giveaway!
Matisse & Monet! I would love to win this book!
Monet and van Gogh are my all-time favorites. But the older I get, the more my tastes are expanding. I'd love to have this book for some fun summer projects! Thanks for your great blog!

Vulliard, Bonnard...
Ak! There are so many that touch my heart!
Patrice
Rembrandt, defintely Rembrandt. I saw The Watchman when I was in Amsterdam...huge, beautiful, detailed, wonderfully lit. I wanted to touch it, but I didn't want to go be tossed out for doing so.
How can I pick just one? Well...let's say Renoir!
Monet for me. Fun give away!
Monet. This week!
I have to say Van Gogh .I am trying do decorate my kitchen in his ("starry cafe" as I like to call it")

We're using your site all summer at home. Did the frogs this morning.

I would LOVE to win this book, to help with homeschooling my three kiddos. Love your blog, and I have your button on the bottom. Thanks!
My blog's new, so I linked to the giveaway and web site in a post. I'll jump on the bandwagon and say van Gogh is my current favorite too!
I did a report on Thomas Gainsborough in high school and still really enjoy the romanticism of his work.
Monet is my favorite master. I love the simplicity of his paintings. They are very relaxed and peaceful. I can easily imagine myself in his pieces.
My son and I are studying his work this term and it is so much fun to revisit his works through my son's eyes.
I love Van Gogh and I love teaching my students about him!
www.finleyfan02.blogspot.com
So many master artists to love...but, for today Claes Oldenburg makes me laugh!
Thanks for your great ideas!
My favorite Master Artist is Van Gogh. I love his use of color, shape, pattern, and subject. I would love to share this book with my daughter's school Liberty Classical Academy.

Wow...so many that I love but I'd have to say van Gogh because of the raw emotion in his work.
Kathy, I love your blog. I have it set as my home page and every morning I see your face when I turn on my computer. I have been an art teacher for 20+ years and this year turned to the internet for some new ideas. Thanks for the inspiration...it helped to put new energy into my teaching!
Monet! I still love this Blog!
The Impressionist painters are my favorite, especially Renoir. A versatile artist, he excelled in both capturing beauty in landscapes and in portraits. As a parent, I've visited your blog several times to find art and craft ideas for our art projects. Thanks for all your wonderful posts.
Oh, my daughter love to paint and draw she'd love it if I won this book. Thanks
