I don't understand what you mean...9 page or 36 page. Is that how many papers will need to be used to complete the mural?
Yes, click on the image to show how the pages break down for each mural. Thanks for asking!
That is beautiful... looks very intricate for smaller kids.

Logistics question. Do you have the students working on the same part work together? Otherwise won't you get different colors on the same part- like a turtle that is colored all differently??? If not how do you have the students do something like this?
Good question. If you can print in color, the pdf includes a color master the kids can just look at to follow. Or if you only have a black & white blank printer, write in color names on my blank master page, and give everyone a copy of that for directions. Either way, the kid's murals I have seen just have a natural variation in each panel that give the whole mural a very handmade look. Hope that helps. :)
Kath...LOVE the new Earth Day poster....thanks for the mini versions....I have 17 grade threes, so I am going to do the globe for one group and the endangered species for another group....they are both beautiful...will send along a photo once done....THANKS! Laura from Toronto
One more thing...I love this mural, but...is there any chance that you can change the Earth Day 2010 to Earth Day April 22nd. Then it can be used for more than one year. Just a thought. Thanks for your quick response about my other question.
I didn't realize that Earth Day is always April 22nd, and it does seem like a wise change to make. I'll see what I can do, thanks for the tip.
Kathy,
I agree about taking the year off and just putting on the date. Please post if you choose to update it. Thanks.
I loved doing this mural! We completed it today, I teach grade 2 and we worked on it with our older class of buddies. It worked wonderfully and the class loved seeing it being pieced together!
THIS IS PERFECT! Our Middle School is hosting "bring your child to work day" on April 22nd. We currently have 39 children visiting with a wide age range. This is a GREAT activity! I can't wait to see the final in person! Looking forward to getting the file! I do have a large format printer... would you be able to send me the printable PDF as one image?
Thanks! -Meagan (New Jersey)
Thank you for the updated page change! I appreciate it. I had been wondering if I could white out the 0 and make it into a 1 in the date. Now, no worries, I'll print off the updated page.
Thank you...I did go on the site today to purchase a new Earth Day download for 2011...Thanks for the new pages...I need to e-mail you about a terrific new project.
