Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” is famous for it’s energy and color. I’ve created a mural template that has the basic shapes of this painting, and includes color callouts if you would like to match my sample.
My Starry Night Mural consists of 24 letter-size pages. In full format it measures 48" x 36", which is a a standard stretched canvas frame size (for those that may want more a permanent mounting). My sample was colored with Portfolio® brand oil pastels, the 24-pack variety.

I teach k-12 art at a very small school in Northern Michigan. This is only my third year. I have used many projects from your site in my classes. I purchased the butterfly mural and have a few of my classes working on it in different mediums. I love these murals. My students are really enjoying them. I just want to thank you for this wonderful blog and your amazing projects are an inspiration.

Keep in mind that many fundraiser type projects allow very limited time for the students to work on such things and are often coordinated by parents or the regular class teachers.
I think these projects are wonderful. Thanks, Kathy!
I did this mural with my grade 3 class today and it turned out great! Your instructions were easy to follow and implement. I will definately buy others. Thanks!
how would i go about attaching this to a canvas? i'd like to have my class complete this, but then attach it to a canvas to have a permanent hanging of it in the classroom. mod podge?
I really like this . . . thinking about ordering, but I'm going to discuss with my principal first!
